DMR Plus and the ZUMSPOT

Connecting to DMR+ reflectors using a hotspot.

https://dmr-marc.net/FAQ/dmrplus-america.html

I have not done this yet but I want to try.  I am told that I incorrectly programmed my code plug.  I thought that each reflector needed to be a separate group contact.  This is not the case.   All you need is talk group 9 to be the group contact to pass traffic.

Add any reflectors that you would like to use in your radio code plug as well. Any reflector you want to add needs to be setup as a private call in your contacts instead of group call. Then create a channel with the reflector contact that you just created, then add the channel to a zone. To link to a reflector you will then have easy access by selecting the zone you just programmed these into. When selected, key your mic and you should get an acknowledgement that you are now connected to that reflector.  If you want to hear the confirmation what you've done you need to include TG9 in the RX group for this channel, because the annunciation goes out on TG9.

There are also two special id’s on either side of the reflector range that must be sent as private calls:
  • 4000 – Issuing a private call to 4000 will disconnect a reflector
  • 5000 – Issuing a private call to 5000 will tell you which reflector is connector (or none)
